Position Overview 

The Lead Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for various monthly accounting activities and analysis. Specific responsibilities include maintaining ecoATM’s fixed asset subledger, preparing and posting journal entries and account reconciliations for fixed assets and capitalized software projects, providing general support on various projects and accounting initiatives, technical accounting analysis around capitalized software, executing internal controls in a SOX environment, and various other activities to support cross functional operations outside the group.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Record entries for activity and transactions for assigned accounts (Fixed Assets, CIP accounts, Capitalized Software, and the Company’s kiosks manufacturing tracking)
  • Support technical GAAP analysis of Company activities (software capitalization) and transactions and new accounting pronouncements, through technical research and preparation of technical accounting position papers.
  • Work with procurement to manage kiosk production activity and reporting including the tracking of credits, prepayments, and installations
  • Managing the Company’s Oracle fixed asset system including maintenance of the Company’s fixed asset tax records
  • Provide audit support for the Company’s annual audit.
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger and sub-ledger accounts
  • Perform analytical reviews including researching variances between actual and expected results, budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist in the implementation, documentation, and maintenance of internal controls in a SOX environment
  • Support software and project initiatives by providing recommendations impacting relevant subject matter areas (requirements gathering, UAT, etc.)
  • Partner with impacted cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects and/or initiatives
  • Develop necessary documentation to support streamlined procedures and internal controls

Education & Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting required
  • CPA highly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience with Oracle ERP highly preferred

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High integrity, strong technical accounting, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Possess excellent time management and strong communication skills
  • Highly organized, with ability to perform multiple tasks and work with other functional areas within the organization.
