Job Type and Work Arrangement
This position is offered as a remote contract, allowing for flexibility and the ability to work from any location.with the requirement to be available during the Australian time. zone from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The role operates on an hourly basis, providing the flexibility to accommodate various scheduling needs and project demands.

Key Responsibilities:
SQL Expertise and Database Management
Design and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence, optimizing query performance and ensuring data integrity.
Architect scalable and robust database schemas to support business data requirements, utilizing extensive SQL experience for efficient database structures.
Apply expertise in SQL performance tuning to optimize database operations and enhance data retrieval and manipulation speed.
Implement SQL database security measures, including robust access controls, encryption, and auditing policies, to protect sensitive data.
Lead data migration and integration projects, ensuring seamless data transfers and accurate data consolidation with extensive SQL expertise.
Develop strategies utilizing SQL expertise to ensure business continuity, including robust backup procedures and data replication.
Manage SQL databases across various platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), ensuring consistent performance and data integrity.
Develop bespoke SQL solutions to address unique business challenges, enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities.
Create comprehensive documentation for SQL database architectures, coding standards, data models, and reporting protocols to ensure consistency and clarity across technical projects.
Reporting, Analysis, and ERP Integration
Utilize SSRS, Crystal Reports, and other tools to create and optimize reports, delivering actionable insights and meeting stakeholder needs.
Optimize the integration of Construction ERPs, like Vista by Viewpoint, ensuring seamless data flow and efficiency across business processes.
Leadership, Strategy, and Innovation
Lead and develop a team of SQL developers and database professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Align database and reporting projects with business objectives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Contribute to strategic planning, focusing on SQL technologies, reporting tools, and ERP systems to support business goals.
Stay updated on SQL database technologies and ERP systems, implementing innovative practices to enhance departmental efficiency.
Lead the development of best practices, guidelines, and procedures for database management, reporting solutions, and ERP system integration, facilitating knowledge sharing and continuity within the team.
Quality Assurance, Support, and Communication
Maintain quality assurance processes for database operations and reports, ensuring data governance and security compliance.
Provide expert advice and support on SQL database management, reporting, and ERP system integration.
Share SQL knowledge by training and mentoring team members, developing training programs to elevate SQL capabilities.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, understanding their needs and delivering updates on database and reporting services.
Maintain up-to-date records of system configurations, data dictionaries, and integration mappings to support database administration, disaster recovery planning, and compliance audits, enhancing organizational knowledge and operational resilience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, emphasizing database management, software development, or data analytics.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL database development, management, and optimization, including extensive work with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar RDBMS. Demonstrated experience in leading data migration, integration projects, and database security implementations.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and proficiency in database architecture design, performance tuning, and optimization. Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as SSRS and Crystal Reports, and familiarity with ERP systems like Vista by Viewpoint.
Certifications in SQL database management, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or similar technologies are highly regarded. Additional certifications in project management or related areas can be beneficial.
