Our client build the world’s best resume-editing platform. Each month, they help thousands of customers worldwide get the job they love. They are a 15-person team spread across Sofia ,Varna and Berlin. Their customers love them, pay for their service, and put them in a superb position to scale their business! 

We’re looking for a Mid/Senior Front-end Engineer to help them architect and plan the infrastructure around their resume editor, the public-facing website and their new products. The ideal candidate has experience with large code bases, is proactive about code quality and technical improvements and cares about product quality.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Get involved in the technical decisions. What tools are they going to use? How is the data going to flow? What standards are they going to follow?
  • Mentor your teammates and review their pull requests in GitHub.
  • Continuously improve code quality and be iniative about refactoring. They’re using modern technologies – React-Toolkit, Typescript, Prettier, Eslint, CommitLint.
  • Ship to production on a daily basis. They have a fully automated CI/CD with Github Actions – get staging environment for each branch in 5 minutes.
  • Get involved in the customer analytics. It’s a pleasure to see how your feature is impacting the company metrics in Amplitude.
  • Collaborate, beyond giving estimates, with designers, product managers and other team members. You think in terms of user experience, not just screens and code. They value your opinion!
  • Get millions of people using your features and A/B tests. It’s fun when you are a consumer product!
  • Solve complex challenges around performance and code reusability. Their resume components are shared between the front-end and the back-end and we have thousands of design combinations.
  • Work on all aspects of the product – front-end, back-end, DevOps.

Ideally, you’re no stranger to these (good to have, but not required)

  • You have worked on complex code bases and you write maintainable code.
  • You like to automate – be it Zapier, crons or just simple scripts
  • 3+ years experience with React, NodeJS.
  • Experience with deploying apps in production.
  • Knowledge of AWS (S3, Lambda, Route53, EC2) and DevOps – CI/CD integrations, build scripts.

Our client started in 2014 and today it’s a highly profitable B2C startup with over 2M active users. They started out from Bulgaria and today they have remote team-members in the US and Germany. They fly to meet each other, plus organize a team-wide retreat once a year. Their engineering team is based in Sofia and now we’re looking for a software engineers to help us build the best resume platform out there!

Over the years our client has been featured on Business Insider, Glassdoor, BuzzFeed and other media. Most recently Mark Cuban spotted us.
