Job description

VDX.tv is a global TV/Video advertising technology company that is transforming the way brands connect with relevant consumers in today’s converging TV and Video landscape.

Role:

We are looking for a Director of Client Partnerships, CPG, who understands the unique marketing challenges faced by the CPG Industry and comes with a deep understanding of marketing and sales strategy.  We are looking for people who have experience working and partnering directly with marketing leaders at CPG companies.

You will work with a close-knit CPG industry team consisting of 6-12 members who focus on complementary functional areas, including account strategy, mid-funnel strategy, creative strategy, campaign strategy, market strategy and supply strategy. With a focal point on marketing and sales strategy, you will be accountable to the team and all team members are expected to learn facets of other functional areas so they can better see the big picture, be more strategic, and work together as a more effective team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary client-facing lead for all prospective and current CPG companies 
  • Generate activity and revenue to promote growth within the CPG sector
  • Map out the CPG landscape and put together a prioritized outreach strategy, to connect with marketing leaders and decision makers at CPG companies
  • Set up meetings and have strategic discussions with marketing leaders at CPG companies
  • Prepare for meetings by researching each company, their current marketing strategy, and their unique challenges
  • Educate marketing leaders at CPG companies on our unique CPG solutions and how they can address their unique challenges
  • Establish long-term relationships with the goal of being a valued strategic partner
  • Provide campaign strategy consultation and analysis
  • Ability to listen carefully to delineate customer challenges and to curate creative solutions to address client needs

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of marketing strategy experience
  • A sales background or a demonstrated aptitude for sales skills is preferred, but not required
  • Agency experience leading the relationship with senior marketers at brands
  • Ability to have a discussion on marketing strategy with senior marketing leaders at a brand
  • Proven relationship building capabilities with key marketing decision makers at brands, OR A track record of developing enduring and actionable client/partner relationships
  • Strong understanding of marketing industry trends and technologies
  • Strong knowledge of leveraging brand marketing to drive impact
  • Strong work ethic, hunger to learn, and drive to constantly improve
  • Self-motivated, and comfortable working independently and as part of team where members are accountable to each other
  • Problem solver and doer
  • Team player who works well with others to make work enjoyable

Work Environment:

  • We are a remote-first organization. This role is for the US, but you can reside anywhere in the US.
