Senior PHP Developer

Together with their colleagues, Digitas Pixelpark is the agency for customer experience marketing within the German IT hub of the company and the international Digitas network. More than 500 experts in data, strategy, creative, media, and technology in Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, and Hamburg coach clients on their digital marketing transformation.

For them, we are searching for an experienced PHP Developer with the following specifications:

Required skills & experience:

University degree or professional qualification in computer science

In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Symfony ideally combined with Spryker know-how

Sound experience in the development of dynamic websites

Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS Deep knowledge of database systems, data structures, SQL as well as NoSQL

You know how to work with distributed version control systems, can review Merge Requests and

provide helpful feedback to your team members You are fluent in English, both spoken and written
Additional (nice-to-haves): You are fluent in German, both spoken and written or on your way of learning it

Knowledge of agile methods like TDD, Code Reviews, Pair Programming

Hands on experience with developer operations and hosting environments (LAMP, VMs, Docker,
Kubernetes, etc.) Cloud and API programming (REST, GraphQL)

Knowledge of messaging systems (RabbitMQ), caching (Redis)

Travel:
The work will be mainly maintained in Bulgaria with constant communication channels with our Western
European agency colleagues, particularly in Berlin or Cologne, Germany. During the initial period, it might be
required to travel to Germany for onboarding and training, followed by occasional follow-up visits. Possible
travel will only be planned and permitted if the current global health situation allows for safe travel. All
measures will be taken to guarantee the safety of our team members.
