Position Summary:
The mission of the Product Line Specialist (PLS) is to follow a specific manufacturer’s line through all scheduled and off-wing unscheduled inspections at various locations. The PLS is responsible for staying current on all Service Bulletins, Advisory Directives and inspection updates for that line. The PLS may be required to give presentations on the product line to in-house or to external customers. The PLS supports the Sales Department, Research and Development Department and the Marketing Department for all matters surrounding their line.
Duties and Responsibilities:Forecast and plan all schedule events related to your product line using AMS and Salesforce Secure accurate quotes from vendors in order to prepare and present a detailed pre-induction cost analysis to the clientControl the cost on all maintenance eventsa. Issue purchase order
b. Exhaust all resources to ensure maximum cost savings
c. Confirm MOU discounts have been received.
d. Produce a comprehensible post- induction cost analysis for the client once the work has commenced
Assist in scheduling the work into one of JSSI’s preferred facilities. Keep the client fully briefed on the work package from start of event to engine completionManage the event by physical presence at the service facility. Provide the Research & Development Department with information that allows them to: a. Ensure completeness and accuracy of Engine and Airframe templates.
b. Keep the Pricing Model as current as possible.
c. Assist in developing new Pricing Models for equipment that is currently/will be on the market.
d. Assist in developing unique program options for our Clients (i.e. Pylon-Out, Plus, etc).
Responsible for developing a Product Line Apprentice (Understudy). Required to share expertise within the department to facilitate additional Product Line Specialists. Review and process invoices in GP, meeting turn time goals set forth by Technical Services ManagementMust have a thorough understanding of the current contract, policies and proceduresPerform other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.Education and Experience:At least 15 years’ experience with turbine-powered business aircraft (not commercial), particularly with Pratt & Whitney engines: PW500 Series EngineBachelor’s Degree in Aviation Field preferredAirframe and Powerplant ratingsExcellent Microsoft Excel ,Word, and PowerPoint skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to read and write articulately and analyticallyClear understanding of relevant technical skillsAbility to multi-task and work well under pressureWell organizedJSSI is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
