About the Position

Dexis is looking for experienced development professionals well-versed in transitional governance programming. 

Responsibilities

Areas of expertise: 

  • Countering Disinformation 
  • Democracy and governance 
  • Community development and resilience 
  • Program development and design 
  • Political transition, peace-building or post-conflict programs  
  • Grant management and small grant development 
  • Monitoring and evaluation 

 

Qualifications 
  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including program reporting, social science research and analysis, journalism, or other related fields in complex, high-speed, and/or challenging field operations in developing countries, or eight (8) years without a Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Experience performing analysis on political and democratic transitions, political reform, and/or conflict mitigation.  
  • Experiencing liaising with national or sub-national government officials and representatives on a regular basis.  
  • Experience with activity design, as well as development and management of projects, involving activities at either the community level or national level.  
  • Experience in research design, research methods, quantitative and qualitative data analysis and management, and dissemination of lessons for a range of stakeholders 
  • Experience with grants management.  
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across sectors; 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of international best practices (case studies) in countering disinformation and propaganda (with primary focus on preventing/mitigating their intended impact as opposed to reacting to individual cases/instances) 
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting, financial management (tracking, reporting and accounting, and procurement).  
  • Experience working in complex political transition and/or conflict environments  
  • Fluency in written and oral English. 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience working with the civil society sector in Eastern Europe. 
  • Experience with remote management in security-challenged environments. 
  • Experience supervising culturally and geographically diverse staff.
