Commercial Claims Adjuster - Business Owner Policy / General Liability

As a Business Owner Policy (BOP) / General Liability (GL) claims adjuster , you’ll manage claims from customers with small businesses or commercial product policies. You’ll support customer needs while ensuring swift resolution. You’ll also use strong negotiation and customer service skills to interact with customers, insurance carriers and others. Ongoing coaching will be provided, allowing you to feel confident in performing your job and developing relationships with our customers.

This is a remote position with occasional travel to an office for a meeting and/or training. **

Duties & Responsibilities**

• Settle BOP / GL claims, including first and third party, among other things
• Make coverage decisions that determine the extent of Progressive’s liability
• Gather details through interviews and investigations regarding losses
• Calculate benefit payments and approves payment of claims within a defined monetary limit
• Mitigate and negotiate down or lost time for small business owners and operations

Must-have Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling OR
• One year in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR
• Three years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling and an associate degree
• A minimum of one year of experience in Business Owner Policy and/or General Liability claims handling

Compensation

• $61,500 - $65,000/ annually
• Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
