Job description

MCS Group is currently working alongside an award-winning digital learning company specialising in the design and delivery of e-learning content, learning management platforms, and learning consultancy to recruit a Business Development Manager (eLearning). The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK with agreed visits to Belfast HQ.

The organisation has a growing client base across the UK, Ireland and further afield and have recently further enhanced their content and learning platforms offering through the addition of a number of innovative solutions.
As a result, they have identified an opportunity for a sales and business development team member to join the team as they look to grow sales in line with their business growth strategy.

The successful candidate will focus on delivery against a personal sales target, working primarily in the GB Market identifying and closing business opportunities of scale that will help grow the company now and into the future.

Reporting to the Sales Lead, this key strategic role would suit a high performer will a strong background of sales achievement, ideally involving the sale of learning solutions or platforms. Understanding and experience of successfully selling custom eLearning content is a distinct advantage.

In addition to an attractive base salary with bonus structure, you will have the ability to make a telling personal contribution in a supportive and collaborative sales culture with an excellent client reference list.

Core Responsibilities: Learning solution sales to the government and commercial (corporate) sectors

  • Identify, manage, and close learning opportunities of scale within the UK and further afield to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Play a key role in engaging with prospective government, commercial and healthcare buyers through 3rd party sector events, digital marketing campaigns and your existing contacts and social media network.
  • The ability to draw on the organisations extensive range of custom content, learning platform solutions and learning consultancy services to meet specific client needs and position the business as a long-term multi-project partner with clients.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the e-learning industry
  • Excellent all-round sales skills set including relationship building with a proven and tangible track record of personal sales success
  • Excellent understanding of client expectations and solution sales processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player, capable of multi-tasking while delivering sales results

Desirable Criteria:

  • A Bachelor degree or higher in a business related discipline
  • Experience of selling learning solutions into one or more of the government, corporate and health sectors
  • Experience of closing sales opportunities of scale (>£100K)
  • Experience of using CRM and marketing automation systems
