In this role within the new home office client service area, associates strive to provide timely answers, guidance, and support of our clients and branch teams to enable an ideal client experience.
We offer extended hours to serve clients from 7:30 am-5:30 pm CST. Your specific schedule will take into account your location's time zone and may vary based on the needs of the department. Core hours of operation for most associates in the department will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00pm locally.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable serving as a phone service representative and spending a great deal of time answering and placing phone calls. Responsibilities**
- Provide investment related solutions, guidance and recommendations in response to incoming telephone calls and written correspondence from Financial Advisors, Branch Office Administrators, and/or clients in both an independent and team structure while considering different variables such as legal/regulatory guidelines and risk to the firm. Associate provides solutions, guidance and recommendations on the suitability of investments as it pertains to clients.
- In alignment with Edward Jones philosophies, determine and recommend appropriate investments which meet the client's objectives and to prevent the Firm from monetary losses, arbitrations and client relations issues.
- Answers non-routine incoming calls and/or written correspondence from branches, clients or third parties utilizing multiple information sources to respond.
- Maintains performance standards and expectations while contributing to department initiatives.
- Completes necessary training and keeps up-to-date on changes in processes or information necessary to do the job.
- Identifies opportunities and issues to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborates with other team members to achieve appropriate resolutions.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Skills/Requirements**
- The ideal candidate would have a sound understanding of the Financial Advisor Role at Edward Jones or a background that includes work with clients, Branch Teams, products or service.
- Series 7 AND Series 66 (OR combination of both Series 63 and 65) required
- Strong service background with 3-5 years of securities industry experience required
- A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred but not required
- Additional licenses may be required (i.e., Insurance or securities licensing in all states)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to understand information about various securities as well as functions of the business is critical. Must be able to understand and communicate research opinions and information on companies and investments; discuss current market conditions, industry trends and financial topics in the headlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to multi-task and follow-up appropriately to take issues to resolution
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving, able to quickly learn and apply new information
- Adapts to change, flexible, and comfortable taking on new things and learning new work
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and apply technical information
- Candidates bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday
