What will you be doing?**

This position will be joining a team of dedicated commercial consultants. The team’s core objective is to generate revenue for Circana and drive solutions that deliver growth for retailers by making recommendations on ranging and sales strategies. This is achieved via insightful analysis of econometric models and other analytic solutions based on EPOS and Loyalty data.

You will be responsible for supporting project pre-sales and management for our clients EMEA markets and you will be involved in delivering a portfolio of different services that address sales drivers across the marketing mix. **

Job Responsibilities**

Business Development:

  • Developing analytics new business by designing and proposing new approaches and ways of working and identifying opportunities within core client base and new client verticals
  • Demonstratable experience in delivering on commercial targets
  • Experience of qualifying opportunities, pipeline management and negotiating long term contracts
  • International business development experience desirable but not essential

Account and Project Management:

  • Strong communication skills; being seen as knowledgeable of CPG/FMCG, retail and analytics sector
  • Ability to work on multiple projects across different EMEA markets
  • To be responsible for scoping, managing and implementing analyses to address clients’ business issues
  • Capable of becoming a subject matter expert in relation to the analytic solutions and their ability to answer client’s business issues
  • Ability to drive senior level engagement and be happy presenting to top level management at your clients

Internal Management and Coaching:

  • Working with the Senior solutions consultant to ensure that effective internal standard processes, training, and processes are followed
  • Providing support and coaching with client servicing team on Circana processes & methodologies, products & services

Requirements

Functional Expertise and Experience

  • Solid, relevant market research and FMCG industry experience
  • Candidates must have experience of working in data-insight based consultancy roles, statistical background is desirable, but not essential
  • Experience working across different markets and different sectors of retail
  • Experience and expertise in functional areas such as marketing, price elasticity, promotional effectiveness & range/space optimisation.
  • Track record of designing client led solutions to solve complex business issues.
  • Expertise on using loyalty/customer/transactional data at a granular level to derive insight
  • A proven track record of interpreting data, developing meaningful insights and providing value added recommendations with excellent communication/ presentation and interpersonal skills
  • High understanding of FMCG industry and trends: client business and needs, market trends and other areas of the business, may be a subject matter expert in media /Price/Promotion practices within FMCG or related industries.
  • Italian language is desirable, but not essential.

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, managing complex client requirements, multiple projects and local and offshore resources.
  • Experience of managing pooled resource
  • Ability to make sound decisions and resolve problems in a highly client-focused fashion.
