Job description

We are seeking a Business Analyst II to play a key role in analyzing and improving business processes in their specialty and/or assigned capability domain through an IT Product-Oriented-Delivery (POD) team framework. This role works closely and collaborate with project managers, technology and support teams, business, as well as external stakeholders to analyze business requirements and produce deliverables related to their capability POD during internal implementations and roll outs.

The Business Analyst will be accountable for defining the objectives and desired outcomes of change, while assessing the potential impact of change to the organization. This role must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management both within and outside of the IT department.

Qualifications, Competencies, and Principal Responsibilities by LevelBusiness Analyst: - Customer Focus & Understanding Our Business - Minimum 5 years of related experience, within retail (at a retailer or software company) - Experience assisting on complex technology projects - Proven presentation skills translating technical requirements to all levels of business users - Experience with testing and mapping various business processes - Strong software configuration knowledge and experience - Driving for Results - Ability to meet aggressive timelines, at times working on multiple projects - Motivated by problem-solving - Skilled in story-telling - Advocates and participates in leading practices and procedures for scalable and flexible solutions in the following areas: - Systems Analysis and Design methodologies - Systems Prototyping - Software Engineering - Quality Engineering - Integration implementation - Application implementation - Data Security and Integrity - Application configuration & development standards - Layered, plug & play architecture - High performing agile/scrum development operations - Adaptability & Leading Change - Proven leadership abilities (ability to provide clear examples of successful implementation projects that you have worked on within the last 5 years) - Ensures validation of acceptance criteria, addresses retrospective feedback, and successful transitions/change manages solutions to business and IT Support - Serve on departmental process improvement initiatives - Building Partnerships - Maintain and promote a positive rapport with the user community - Negotiates with or influences division/department teams to facilitate analytic success (thorough and accurate, quantitative and qualitative validation to base as-is & to-be) - Develops Self and Others - Promotes team building and skills development of POD team members - Cross-coordinates feedback and learning among all Business Analysts - Participates in Community of Practice activities for professional development

Business Analyst II (include above plus): - Added 5+ years experience ( minimum 10 years experience ) delivering multiple, large, highly complex systems changes, projects & programs with a role in IT or Business with the respective department area of focus (i.e. Lead Business Analyst, Systems Analyst) - Able to present to the senior executive level and adjusts communications to most effectively be understood by the target audience with little to no direction - Supports advanced cost/benefit analysis - Identifies process opportunities and exploits them at an expert level - Researches new processes to present results and improve capabilities that are effective - Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives and fulfill the corporate Mission - Self-motivation & sense of urgency to drive results, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency using Data Analytics tools and Query language - A high level of professionalism and attention to detail - A Bachelors in business, engineering, computer science, MIS or other four-year related degree

Merchandising (includes first day, plus): - 5+ years experience with enhancing and/or implementing retail merchandise systems: - Enterprise merchandising management systems, ERP solutions, such as Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service or Blue Yonder Solution Suites - Product lifecycle management, merchandise financial planning & analytics, assortment planning, allocation, replenishment, and global sourcing systems - Promotion Asset Management & Planning solutions - Other Merchandising solutions: Assortment Planning, Cluster, Planogram
