Technical Systems Integration Engineer

Job Description

Every day work includes schematic creation/review. Selection of fuses and ground attachment points following core strategies. Compatibility reviews includes looking at requirements and assessing them. During the launching stage, everyday work includes plant support such as End of Line, Electrical functional & Key off load testing/troubleshooting. **

Responsibilities**

• Design/Develop program specific electrical system schematics.
• Support electrical device transmittal process (e.g., VSEM GDT Set-up, DT Approvals, Create DT Status Report, etc.)
• Lead compatibility reviews to verify all module and wiring interfaces.
• Develop program specific system FMEA and DVP (e.g., Validations Plan, etc.)
• Prototype Breadboards (e.g., parts list development, sign-off, validation, sign-off, etc.)
• Prototype Vehicle Builds (e.g., yellowboard software flashing and configuration, functional sign-off, troubleshooting, etc.) which could include travel to production facilities.
• Development of Software Configuration files (*.ecd files)
• Prototype Vehicle Software Flashing.
• Support Netcom to develop the Netcom message list.
• General Electrical system troubleshooting.
• Identify and resolve system related design issues.
• Understand system interfaces to identify possible improvements and trade-offs.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements we seek:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Experience working with CAN protocol and/or experience diagnosing systems/subsystems and/or wiring systems and/or NetCom.
• Availability to travel to Cuautitlán, Hermosillo and outside Mexico will be required.

Our preferred requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science
• 1+ year of experience in root cause analysis and authoring well documented 8D’s.
• Awareness of FMA tools such as CPA (Change Point Analysis), Quality History, Boundary Diagram, P-Diagram).
• Awareness of Functional Safety and Problem Solving tools (3 Legged 5 Why, Working backwards Y to X)
• Independent worker, capable of delivering multiple project commitments concurrently.
• Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Broad interpersonal skills allowing a wide range of interface with vehicle product development/subsystems engineers, multi-functional teams and suppliers.
