Paginator - Copy Editor

Paginator-Copy Editor, 12- to 18-month contract, renewable

Postmedia Editorial Services, Barrie, is looking for a versatile Paginator with the skills to produce weekly and daily newspaper pages that grab attention and engage readers. This is a full-time, contract position. Work from home.

Duties:

• Layout and design a high volume of newspaper pages, including fronts and feature pages, for our weekly and daily newspapers
• Work as part of a tight-knit team in a high-pressure environment to achieve excellence in newspaper design
• Responsible for ensuring highest standards of quality control.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Superb layout and design abilities
• Strong typography skills
• Exceptional ability to spot errors in layout style
• Well organized, with excellent communication skills and an ability to work under strict deadlines
• Proficiency with InDesign
• Experience with Saxo CMS an asset, but not a requirement
• Efficient and calm under pressure.
