The role

The Learning Team at the Raspberry Pi Foundation is a group of experienced educators who are passionate about computer science. We develop a wide range of learning resources that are used by teachers and students across the globe. 

Our learning content, formal and non-formal, support young people to learn computing and digital making and is accessed both through our network of clubs, schools, teachers, and learners. We are looking for a Learning Manager to join our team to create high-quality learning experiences that are engaging and relevant to young people, teachers and volunteers in India. The ideal candidate will be a creative and enthusiastic curriculum design expert with expertise in developing and delivering learning experiences to support the development of adults and young people's digital-making skills. 

You will work collaboratively with the Sr. Learning Manager, India to develop Computing and Coding curriculum with clear, achievable learning outcomes to support young learners, teachers and volunteers in India in their journey towards digital making. 

You will be expected to use data, community feedback, and rigorous research to ensure our content is appropriate & relevant for young learners, teachers and volunteers from various backgrounds, interests, and abilities in India.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Develop and deliver learning experiences, content, resources, and training for the Foundation's educational programmes and products. 
• Ensure that learning experiences, content, resources, and training reflect evidence-based pedagogy and the Foundation's agreed approaches to teaching and learning across formal education and non-formal learning. 
• Contribute to the development of the Foundation's teaching and learning strategy and approaches. Actively engage with research and best practice, and identify areas for improvement and innovation. 
• Develop and deliver training sessions (virtual, in-person & blended) for facilitators and trainers to ensure they are equipped to effectively deliver educational programs and courses.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external partners. 
• Support in building and managing relations with external knowledge partners e.g. translation and LMS partners
• Engage positively with the Foundation's systems for quality assurance, including in relation to agreed policies for inclusion and accessibility. 
• Proactively utilise user feedback and data to drive improvement. 
• Represent the Raspberry Pi Foundation to external audiences and stakeholders as required. 
• Contribute to the Foundation's thought leadership through writing articles and blogs, public speaking, and contributing to research and evaluation. 

Experience and personal attributes

• A thorough understanding of computing, with a degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or a related subject.
• Excellent understanding of the Indian education system with a particular focus on school-based education, community-based education. University-based ed will be helpful
• Experience in designing and developing computing courses, learning resources, and learning experiences in either formal or non-formal education context
• Strong communication skills, including a high level of written English
• Ability to generate creative solutions and apply them to highly ambiguous situations and environment
• About 5-8 years of experience in curriculum design and development roles preferably in the field of Computing education 
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile & fast-paced environment
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that educational programs and courses remain relevant and effective.
• Availability to travel for study tours, research & surveys, in-person meetings and training sessions.
