Retail Sales Manager – Content Creation Brands - Pro Audio

Based: New York, USA with remote working available

Term: Full time exempt

Salary: $80000 - $90000 pa + OTE $25k and excellent benefits

The Role:

Reporting to the VP of Retail Sales, the Manager of US Retail Sales role will have ownership and accountability of selected dealer accounts for Focusrite Content Creation brands. This position would suit someone with previous pro audio / MI sales experience ad a good knowledge of synths, keyboards, recording equipment and music production.

Duties will include:

  • Active and wholistic management of dealer accounts through:
  • Dealer Meetings
  • Regular dealer visits and interactions with sales staff
  • Management of day-to-day buyer relationship
  • Coordination with our Marketing team regarding co-op, spend, and activities.
  • Coordination with OPS department regarding:
  • Progress of POs
  • Shipping issues
  • RMA processing
  • Order updates (ESD’s etc)
  • Coordination with finance regarding credit holds, clearing held POs, etc.
  • Management of dealer sales staff-related questions
  • Act as internal liaison between specialty/integration partners and our outward-facing B2B and EDU team
  • Coordinate with internal Field Trainer/Product Specialist teams with store visit/call campaigns and sales staff training.
  • Participate in forecasting and budgeting around assigned accounts.
  • Represent all Content Creation brands at trade shows and industry events.

Skills and experience required:

  • 3-5 years of Pro Audio Industry sales experience is required, preferably sales account management for a manufacturer.
  • A strong understanding of the MI and Pro Audio industry.
  • Working knowledge of music technology, keyboards, synths, and recording equipment.
  • Experience working cross-departmentally within an organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills within a professional/sales environment
  • A proven track record in growing sales and developing businesses.
  • Willingness to travel as required – 25%+
