Job description

The Doctors Company Information Technology team has an opportunity for a Manager Growth Services. This is a hybrid or remote opportunity depending on the final candidate’s location from the company's offices.

Position Mission**

The Manager Growth Services is a key role involved in the core modernization project. You will lead the development team by providing guidance for technical design and solutions, solution architecture, eliminate roadblocks. The successful candidate will also create growth and development opportunities for the team. **

Qualifications**

  • Minimum, bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Finance-related
  • 5-7 years software development experience
  • Duck Creek Content Developer and/or Duck Creek Field Engineer experience and/or certifications, required
  • Strong understanding of manuscripts, versioning, configuration and third-party integrations with Duck Creek
  • 3-5 years minimum in leading and guiding development teams

Salary Range: $135,239 - $167,060 **

Responsibilities**

Enterprise Application, Solution, and Integration Architecture

Actively participates in the enterprise application and integration architecture functions, including:

  • Coordination of a balanced pursuit of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architectures.
  • Oversees the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to develop enterprise application/solution architecture requirements.
  • Recommends core application solution architecture governance structure based on business and IT strategies. Oversees core application solution architecture implementation and ongoing refinement activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring best practices and modern technologies are utilized between cloud and on-premise solutions, and digital platforms
  • Work closely with key users and project teams to gather requirements, create solution mapping, and design specifications, data models, and data flow
  • diagrams to meet business needs.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of a communication plan for core application solution architecture standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concept and principles

Leadership/Staff Development/Cultural Stewardship

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate direct reports/project team and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their tasks/projects while supporting overall team to identify and achieve corporate goals, department goals and development goals.
  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for functional area.
  • Assure appropriate performance management and accountability. Develop and oversee SMART (SLA’s) metrics.
  • Contributes to the development and achieving annual budget and expense goals.
  • Promote consistent behaviors throughout organization.
  • Hold staff accountable for failing to follow cultural values and norms.
  • Establish value-based behaviors and communicate those across departments.
  • Communicates and delivers ongoing/timely feedback to direct reports or project team regarding performance.
  • Conducts quarterly 1:1 performance evaluation with direct reports or project team and provide coaching or mentoring as required on a timely and ongoing basis.
  • Develops staff career pathing and succession plans for key positions and company needs.
  • Defines and monitors roles and responsibilities of direct reports or project team.
  • Mentor technical teams on solution protocols and conduct design architecture reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Works and communicates with department leadership as needed.

Program/Project Management & Execution

  • Manages the core business applications end-to-end including description, data, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and value of service.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources/processes to achieve core system project/program objectives/expected outcomes within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.
  • Develops and implements software development practices, processes, methodologies, and metrics.
  • Prepares reports detailing project status and communicates updates to project stakeholders.
  • Ensures projects are completed on time, within established quality standards, and in compliance with design specifications.
  • Participates in the enterprise architecture function, including coordination of a balanced pursuit of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architectures.
  • Responsible for working with business leaders and managing the process of developing IT solutions for business needs.
  • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing project costs; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
  • Manages all Core business application IT functions including business analysis, design, development, quality assurance and solution architecture.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing.

Delivery Excellence and Customer Service "Experience"

  • Project was delivered on time per specifications, project deliveries maintained a balance of scope, schedule, and cost along with a strong focus around quality and the achievement of business/success outcomes.
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards and hold staff accountable for IT Customer Service "Experience".
  • Verifies core business application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.

Technology Strategy & Consultation

  • Assure IT business application services and solution architecture are in alignment with business priorities by actively participating in IT governance process.
  • Implement reliable, scalable, secure, and high performing technology systems for smooth business operations.
  • Establish and maintain procedures and standards for end-to-end business application management.
  • Lead initiatives and strategies designed to enhance TDC's technology.
  • Identify trends and future needs for the technical skills, methodologies, and standards needed to support core business applications.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Influence common vision/strategy.
  • Responsible for reviewing technology software contracts, including analysis for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing organization risk.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; bench marking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Other Duties As Assigned

  • Available for all duties, accepts delegated tasks readily and completes assigned duties as directed.
