Job description

Child Start is actively recruiting for multiple openings in our early Head Start classrooms serving children ages 0-3, with positions available across Sedgwick and Butler counties. These are full-time career opportunities for dedicated, early childhood professionals.

A typical day working with Child Start in an early childhood classroom may involve:


  • Encourage children to try new learning activities.
  • Assess each child’s development initially and update assessments throughout the school year.
  • Review the curriculum continually and write weekly lesson plans that incorporate all areas of child development (social/emotional development, physical and cognitive language development).

Requirements

Requires:

  • Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), (we have scholarships available to help with CDA completion)
  • relevant experience working with infants and toddlers.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds for various classroom and event needs.

Child Start's Teacher, Early Head Start position starts at $16.29 - $24.43 per hour, depending on education and/or experience.
