What will I be doing?**

The Invoicing Manager is a key member of the Accounting team responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely creation and distribution of invoices to our clients. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can ensure that invoicing processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the company's financial goals. The Invoicing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring revenue collection and supporting the financial health of the organization. **

Job Responsibilities**

  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and provide guidance to the invoicing team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team.
  • Invoice Management:
    • Maintain an invoicing tracker to facilitate ownership and timely accurate billing.
    • Generate and review invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to contractual terms.
    • Manage invoicing cycles, including recurring and one-time billing, to meet established deadlines.
    • Address billing inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Client Communication:
    • Collaborate with internal commercial team to verify client billing requirements and resolve billing-related queries.
    • Maintain professional and effective communication with internal commercial team as well as clients regarding invoicing matters.
    • Ensure that invoices are delivered to clients through their preferred channels (email, mail, portal, etc.).
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and streamline invoicing processes to enhance efficiency.
    • Implement automation and software tools to optimize billing procedures.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and ensure compliance with invoicing and reporting requirements.
    • Maintain detailed records of invoices, contracts, and billing documents.
    • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with at least 5 years of experience in invoicing and billing.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, revenue recognition, and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency using accounting software and invoicing tools (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Dynamics 365, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ASC 606
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $90,000-$110,000.
