Liberty University School of Education is seeking faculty to teach online graduate and undergraduate coursework in the area of Reading Education. If you are an experienced professional with a Doctoral degree in Reading/Literacy Education, have 3 years of experience in the K-12 setting as a Reading Specialist, hold an active state-issued Reading Specialist license, and have the desire to prepare students to serve as reading teachers in the K-12 school system - we invite you to apply. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicant must have an EdD or PhD in Reading/Literacy
- Degree must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Reading Specialist in the K-12 setting
- Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills required
- Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills required
- Proficiency in MS Office and Canvas
- Pastoral reference letter is required .
- Three professional reference letters required.
- Active, state-issued teaching license as a Reading Specialist required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to candidates with an established record of research in reading evidenced by intellectual and professional contributions to the field through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching reading methods using online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas) and K-12 reading.
