REMOTE POSITION
We are seeking an Informatica Developer who can support one of our DHS clients in the greater Washington, DC area. We are looking for a highly skilled individual to join our fast-growing small business and help lead delivery for our client by providing day-to-day consulting services and business analysis subject matter expertise in support of software implementation.
We are seeking candidates with a mix of technical and business experience in mission-oriented environments. Candidates will provide technical expertise with the Informatica suite of tools that are currently in implementation at ICE, and will utilize Informatica to integrate data utilizing the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) architecture to move data from one source to another.
We are especially looking for candidates that have worked in DHS and have an active EOD/DHS clearance. US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) experience is a plus. This role will be responsible for supporting a wide range of project activities spanning business and technology environments.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Work with the Database Administrator (DBA) to maintain all relevant sources of data, ensure they are properly stored, maintained, monitored, backed- up, and recovered for the ETL environment.
- Regularly report on the health and performance of the ETL environment and jobs and troubleshoot, debug, and perform corrective actions when needed.
- Establish and assist with documenting direct data connections (or exports when direct data connection is not the agreed to solution) As new data sources are identified and needed to ensure data sets are available to update reports and dashboards on an automated basis.
- Complete the loading of the data within the next business day after receiving the data.
- Perform manual data loading onto the database as needed.
- Assist with maintaining up-to-date documentation on ETL workflow using tools/software/applications approved by the government (i.e. Confluence).
- Track, monitor, and update work received with ICE standard tools such as Jira.
- Meet regularly with the stakeholders on prioritization of work including communicating expectations for deliverables.
- Work with any support requirements as requested.
- Provide a report on all activities as requested.
- Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Commensurate experience in IT and in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise.
- Works independently or under general supervision.
- Experience with Federal financials data a plus
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Business, or other related discipline AND 6+ years consulting or IT experience. Can substitute an Associates degree AND 9+ years of additional experience for Bachelor’s.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven experience supporting executive leadership and high-visibility project
Additional preferred qualifications
- Experience working in a Federal environment, preferably DHS
- Experience working at DHS ICE
- Existing and active DHS EOD/clearance
Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Pay: $110,422.94 - $145,982.47 per year
