SunFi.co is leveraging its heritage as a Distributed Energy Provider (DEP) to build a Clean Energy FinTech platform that helps Distributed Solar Energy Providers scale their clean energy business to millions of consumers in Nigeria and eventually other parts of the world. SunFi provides Solar Energy installers and their consumer's access to Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) payment plans, solution design & analysis tools, and supply chain partnerships that help catalyse the transition to clean energy.

About the Role
The employee will own, build and iterate on SunFi’s platform - bringing our ideas to life across every use case, and user experience. The employee is saddled with the responsibility of understanding the users’ needs, market needs, and business goals in order to drive product execution successfully.. The employee will have the ability to think strategically, act pragmatically, and have the tenacity, energy, and passion to innovate and implement change within the time and resource constraints of a quickly growing startup environment. The employee will report to the Senior Product Manager and be required to effectively communicate with and engage colleagues, leadership, and junior colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Ability to drive different aspects of the product roadmap and high-level technical concepts to bridge the gap between technology, the people, and the business processes it supports
Own and be able to delegate aspects of the established agile team: writing user stories and acceptance criteria, backlog grooming, reported bug triage and prioritization, demos, end-to-end product execution, and cross-functional leadership.
Ensure effective communication product direction, progress, delivery, launch, and mitigation plans to all relevant team members and business partners.
Accountable for core Product Execution Metrics; Development Velocity, Burn up and Burn down KPIs, Release Frequency, Time-to-Market. In addition, support the Product Manager in Product KPI that concern Product Usage, Product User Behaviour and Product Quality.Time to ship, feature completion rate, and other product engagement metrics
Strive to deeply understand user needs by conducting user research and identifying opportunities and pain points. And advocate for user needs through the cycle of building products.
Define, document, and drive roadmaps, project plans, and precise product specifications that consistently deliver quality products for your customers.
Work with a team of engineers and designers to discover solutions to customer pain points, and build and launch products that meet the business objectives. This would ensure the team can deliver a scalable architecture that not just meets current needs but considers future growth scenarios
Manage and prioritize the product backlog based using the defined product roadmap or ad hoc business requirements helping the engineering team to balance short vs long term needs
Collaborate with the development team to plan and execute product releases, ensuring that valuable features are delivered at regular intervals.
Identify and address potential risks and impediments that may impact the successful delivery of the product.
Ensure successful product launches by working cross-functionally with marketing, merchant success, sales, operations, legal, and compliance teams.
Communicate requirements to the design and engineering leads, and maintain communication between the product design and engineering units as it relates to the needs of the business
Regularly sit with Leadership and other stakeholders (User Services, Finance & Growth) to discover the customer's needs
Train or provide product reviews for User Services, Growth & Finance team members on new features
Support product lead in prioritizing features and functionality to meet business goals and user needs.
Use data to drive product decisions, defining success metrics and measuring results against them
Develop and Manage product documentation such as PRDs, scope documents, user flows etc
Assist in any product management team administrative tasks
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience building and shipping product in relevant industries such as Fintech, SaaS Products
Experience in building more than one product at a time, effectively prioritizing and pushing features on all products
Strong understanding of how to truly propose and build a lean MVP and scope out further milestones for a product or feature.
Detail-oriented and a high bar for quality when it comes to writing stories, acceptance criteria, launch plans, and testing a feature before greenlighting its launch to users.
Strong project management with the ability to identify risks during execution, communicate and resolve blockers that may or may not be raised by the engineering teams, next steps, and progress.
Strong analytical skills and fluency with data, with the ability to use a variety of tools to gather and synthesize information (experience with Hotjar, Google Analytics and Jira).
Excellent written and verbal communication with a tendency to document and over-communicate: we are fully remote, so this is very important!
Good knowledge of Product Management tools like Jira, Monday, Miro etc.
