Our client is seeking to recruit a Engineering Planner who will execute scheduling and planning of all GMP Corrective Maintenance activities. Reporting to the Manager, Lead Engineering Planner, the Engineering Planner will play a critical role within the GMP Reliability team in delivering a best-in-class maintenance and reliability programme to ensure equipment uptime is maximised for manufacturing of medicines for our patients.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Working closely with the wider Reliability team, including Technicians and Engineers to develop the current planning strategies for optimum use of downtime windows and resources.
· Walk down corrective maintenance jobs with Engineers and define work plans.
· Prioritising safety in corrective maintenance planning – identify risks associated with any tasks and putting in place mitigations as required.
· Ensure LOTO boundaries are correct for corrective maintenance works.
· Look to tie in corrective maintenance with current planned maintenance to avoid duplication of works and ensure a reduction in downtime.
· Co-ordination with other functional groups to ensure resources are in place for activities.
· Manage customer requests via the GMP Reliability SharePoint
· Ensuring external resources available for activities as required (e.g., OMC, GEA)
· Assess incoming Work Orders, prioritise work accordingly.
· Follow up on completed work to ensure work orders are closed
· Ensures correct permits in place for activities and external contractors
· Co-ordination with stores Dept. to ensure spare parts available for all planned work
· Develop and improve transition of information for right first-time maintenance and handover for a self-managed team
Requirements include:
· The successful candidate should possess at minimum a Level 7 Engineering Related qualification or trade qualification (industry experience will be taken into account).
· 3 years’ experience in similar industry with some exposure to maintenance/engineering planning and LOTO.
· CMMS experience in Maximo, SAP or similar.
· Strong communications, organizational and analytical skills, use of Spotfire an advantage.
· Strong understanding of standard software applications, MS Excel, Sharepoint.
· Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
· Flexible and amenable to change with ability to work independently and remotely when required
